SUMMARY
Help oversee the ski/snowboard school office operations ensuring excellent guest service and enhancing the Sundance experience.

Duties:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Help oversee daily operations of the ski/snowboard school office ensuring services enhance department.
Ensure that clerks are assisting Sundance ski/snowboard school guests properly through selecting lessons and following procedures.
Ability to communicate clearly and pleasantly to Sundance guests and co-workers.
Complete knowledge of ski school products and procedures.
Complete lesson cards and secure payment for lessons.
Track instructor payroll/commissions.
Phone and math skills.
Scheduling of office staff.
Work with other supervisors and staff in a pleasant, and helpful manner.
Insure the accuracy of daily financial and other transactions.
Monitor the budget performance and produce occasional status reports as needed.
Guide the implementation and daily use of staff assignments, guest programs tracking and daily assignment sheets and systems.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises a staff of approximately three part time seasonal employees. Assist Ski School Director with supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Complete all applicable paperwork for the above responsibilities and submit to HR in a timely manner.

ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT
Support and participate in environmental programs associated with position: minimizing waste, recycling, energy conservation, purchase and use of sustainable products, education on environmental ethic, support vendors with similar ethic, decrease pollution levels, minimize the use of toxic chemicals, restore wild life habitats.

In order to best promote a positive, professional image that meets Sundance guest’s expectations, employees are required to dress in a professional, conservative fashion that is appropriate for their area. Please use the following as a minimum standard:

All aspects of the Personal Appearance policy (SPL#50) must be in compliance.
Operational managers are required to wear nametags at all times while on duty.
Clothing must be unwrinkled and clean, and in good condition (no rips, tears, or frays regardless of whether accidental or fashionably placed).
Blue jeans are permitted.
Men’s shirts must be tucked in.
Appropriate skirt length is from the knee to the ankle.
A tailored fit is required of all clothing.
Tank tops, halter tops tube tops, and spaghetti straps are prohibited.
Sleeveless shirts are permitted for females.
Bare midriffs are prohibited.
Proper footwear for your department is required.
Dress sandals are permitted for females.
Flip flops are prohibited in all areas.
Brown or black athletic shoes are permitted.
If your department allows t-shirts, they must be in good condition and have appropriate Sundance logos.
If your department allows baseball caps, they must be in good condition and have appropriate Sundance logos.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

TECHNICAL/COMPUTER SKILLS
Must possess a working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, timekeeping systems, internet navigation and electronic mail.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
